SHORT MAT
Ross Short Mat Representative comments 1st April 2025
We got our value from the Winter League this year with two of the top-of-division places only being decided on the very last day of the season.
In Division 1, Woolhope Wanderers produced a stunning run of 3 consecutive maximum points victories, two of them against their closest rivals in the league, to take the club's 21st league title. Ross Wolves took the runners-up spot (their 15th!). The two relegation places were occupied by Fownhope Robins and Llangarron.
Woolhope Wasps had sealed the Division 2 title some time ago, amassing over 100 points in the process, but the runners-up spot went to Tarrington, on shot difference from St Martins Hawks, as they secured promotion back to Division 1 after a single season in the second tier. Ross Alligators and Aston Ingham Severns finished in the two relegation spots.
In Division 3, Gorsley Chapel Cedars had secured the title before the final week's fixtures, losing only one match all season, but Ross Hedgehogs secured the points they needed to take the runners-up spot ahead of Ledbury Swallows.
