NEWS

25/12/2023 It is sad to report that "David R Watkins" passed away peacefully in his sleep on Saturday morning (23/12/23). Our thoughts are with family at this difficult time.

24/12/2023 Happy Christmas to all the members, hope you all have a great time. Club next open Boxing Day at Noon.

11/12/2023 Please note the new front door will be installed on Wednesday 13th December, 2023. Access to the club will be via the double doors in the function room. Hopefully the work will be completed in time for the short mat social to continue as normal,

10/10/2023 Congratulations to Kate Williams who represented England in the short mat British Isles singles. Kate beat Scotland and Wales before meeting Ireland who also had won both games. Kate played well in the match against Ireland but just missed out on winning the title. Runner-Up is still a very good result. Kate was also the England team captain for the team event and once again England finished second to Ireland. Over the two days Kate played 114 short mat ends of bowls.

19/9/2023 This years Medley was the closest since the competition started in 1984. When all the games had been played 6 teams were equal top on points so it came down to shots difference. Irene Leake joined Tom Buttery has the person who has won the Medley the most times i.e. 5.
